Cyber Fraudsters Targeted Nagarjuna, Here’s What Happened

Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni has urged people to be careful while using phones, social media and online services. He shared his own experience with cyber fraudsters during a cyber-awareness programme held in Hyderabad on Friday.

Nagarjuna attended the ‘Suraksha Ka Tiranga’ programme organised by the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB). The programme focused on creating awareness about online scams and helping people understand how cyber fraudsters operate.

Speaking at the event, Nagarjuna said that anyone can become a target of cybercrime. He asked people to be extra careful when they receive unknown calls, messages or online offers.

The actor also shared an incident from around four years ago. He said that a person approached him claiming to be connected with a bank. The person reportedly spoke about an investment opportunity. Nagarjuna said such approaches can put people at risk of losing money or sharing important personal information.

He also spoke about an incident involving one of his relatives in Iran. According to Nagarjuna, fraudsters pretended to be police officials and told the relative that drugs had been found in the baggage. Such scams often try to frighten people and force them to act quickly without checking the facts.

Nagarjuna said he takes online safety seriously in his own life. He revealed that he regularly changes his passwords to protect his digital accounts. He also advised people not to share sensitive details such as passwords, bank information, OTPs or other personal data with unknown people.

The actor further asked people not to make quick decisions when they receive suspicious calls or messages. He said people should stay calm and verify information before taking any action.

The awareness programme was attended by Telangana DGP CV Anand, TGCSB Director Shikha Goel, SPs Sai Sri and Harshavardhan, along with other officials.
