Nagarjuna’s Shiva Trailer: Classic Returns

Nagarjuna’s iconic film Shiva, widely regarded as a path-breaking and trend-setter in Indian film history, is gearing up for a grand re-release, on the special occasion of Annapurna Studios completing 50 years journey. The film has undergone a Dolby Atmos 4K restoration and announced for re-release in theatres on the 14th of this month.

The trailer, which is out now, not only showcases the film’s content but also features several prominent personalities sharing their memories and thoughts about Shiva. Starting with Rajamouli, the video includes insights from Nag Ashwin, Prabhas, Sekhar Kammula, Mahesh Babu, Nani, Mani Ratnam, NTR, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Allu Arjun, and concludes with Chiranjeevi.

Produced by Akkineni Venkat and Yarlagadda Surendra under the banners of Annapurna Studios and SS Creations, Shiva was released in 1989 and it was the explosive directorial debut of Ram Gopal Varma. Known for its realistic portrayal of student politics and underworld violence, the film set a new standard in Telugu cinema and became a box office sensation.
