Buzz: Did Nani And Nithin Missed Out A Kantara?

There are some projects that will be rejected by big stars, but finally land in the lap of some unknown actor, and then ends up making that unknown as a well-known star. But for a change, there is this project, Balagam fame Venu Yeldandi’s Yellamma, which was almost finalised by two big heroes, but surprisingly went out of hand.

Apparently, when Venu Yeldandi planned for his second film Yellamma, he’s said to have approached Nani under Dil Raju’s advice, and the hero too immediately okayed the film. But then, with the likes of Dasara and HIT 3 changing Nani’s preferences, the actor picked up a gritty actioner like Paradise rather than Yellamma, a socio-cultural and political film laced in Telangana’s roots.

Then came another talented star, Nithin, whose films are not working big these days. Many thought that Nithin’s fate would be changed for the third time, like how his debut Jayam and then years later, Ishq, have changed his fate. Surprisingly, Nithin also walked out of the film.

Finally, Devi Sri Prasad has landed in the film, making his debut as an actor, and going by the glimpse released the other day, it looks like the film is going to be something different. Especially the visuals and background score gave it a Kantara feels, and we can’t say anything but Nani-Nithin missing out on such a film.
