Nani has always been known as one of the most natural actors in Telugu cinema. For many years, he built a strong connection with family audiences through films that had emotional stories, relatable characters and clean entertainment. But his recent film choices show a different side of the actor.
Nani was once seen as a comfortable choice for family audiences. Films with love, relationships, emotions and simple characters helped him create a special image among regular moviegoers. However, his recent projects have been more intense and serious.
His upcoming film The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela, is a clear example of this change. The film appears to be a raw action drama with violence, strong language and serious social themes. The latest censor details have added more curiosity around the movie.
According to reports, the censor process resulted in several changes. Around 21 modifications were reportedly made to the film. Some violent and torture scenes were trimmed, while certain words were muted. Some smoking-related visuals and brand references were also changed.
Reports also say that around 25 seconds of visuals were completely removed, while another one minute and 25 seconds of footage was replaced with different scenes. After all the changes, the reported runtime of the film is around two hours and 54 minutes.
Another interesting aspect is the reported presence of political references and dialogues in the film. Some names and controversial references were reportedly changed or removed during the censor process.
All these details suggest that The Paradise is not being presented as a regular family entertainer. It appears to be a much darker and more aggressive film compared with some of Nani's earlier movies.
The big question now is whether his family audience will also accept this new version of Nani. The Paradise is expected to showcase him in a completely different style, and the response from audiences will reveal how comfortable viewers are with this change.
