Nani’s The Paradise: Aaya Sher’s Slum Set Is Gigantic
If someone wants to shoot inside a real slum, that might be free, and one could pay a little fee to the Government and do it.

But if someone wants to build the whole slum as a special set, such that they could have freewheeling control on the assets, lighting and other things, it’s going to be a costly affair.
To shoot the song “Aaya Sher” from Nani’s The Paradise movie, it looks like the makers have done their biggest feat as director Srikanth Odela gets a slum-set involving several houses, arches, walls, and drainage built on a 2.5-acre land parcel. Along with the hero house set, which resembles that of a Kaman, they have built a village with several houses and with a large waterbody, a giant biryani bowl-like structure, and also a big dump yard adjacent to that. Involving a lot of construction workers and artisans, the sets took almost 20-30 days to build.
Along with building these sets, they have given them a natural ageing colour and other vintage-like structural look, to make them more authentic and periodical. The grand slum-empire set built by production designer Avinash Kolla is currently being talked about, as the Aaya Sher song has clocked more than 100 million views on YouTube, for its natural look and tone, apart from Anirudh’s terrific tune and Nani’s amazing screen presence.
‘The Paradise’, produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, was originally set for March 27th release, but got postponed to August 27th after the film’s shooting got delayed longer than expected.
