Naresh Honoured By Goa Governor For Completing 55 Years In Cinema

Naresh, the versatile Navarasaraya, received a rare honour from the Hon'ble Governor of Goa, H.E. Sri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju. The grand felicitation took place at the historic Raj Bhavan in Goa, coinciding with the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi. He was specially recognised for completing 55 golden years in the Indian film industry.

The actor experienced a very warm and enthusiastic welcome from the Telugu community residing in Goa. Following this, Naresh was received at Lok Bhavan, where the Governor hosted him for tea and gave him a tour of the historic property. During their interaction, the actor shared his extensive journey in cinema, social service, and diplomatic engagements.

The versatile veteran actor currently serves as an ambassador and honorary Colonel for the National Academy of Security & Defence Planning, a wing of UNIGO. His incredible journey started as a child artist in the 1972 film Pandanti Kapuram. A decade later, he made a massive impact with his lead debut in the 1982 blockbuster Nalugu Stambhalata, followed by many memorable hits like Srivaariki Premalekha and Jamba Lakidi Pamba.

Naresh is now enjoying a highly successful second innings, becoming one of the busiest actors in Telugu cinema with pan-India projects. His remarkable ability to connect with Gen Z audiences has led young filmmakers to cast him in bold and unconventional roles, proving his unmatched versatility continues to shine.
