By: Tupaki Desk | 4 April 2025 5:53 AMKarnataka-born actor Naveen Chandra, who shot to fame with the 2012 romantic drama Andala Rakshasi, made a striking debut as Surya alongside Rahul Ravindran and Lavanya Tripathi. The film, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi in his directorial debut, earned Naveen appreciation for his intense performance. Despite doing several films across genres and taking on challenging roles, including antagonists and OTT projects, the big commercial break has remained elusive. But Naveen is far from giving up in fact, he says he's more determined than ever.
Up next, Naveen Chandra is gearing up for the release of 28 Degrees C, a film close to his heart. Reflecting on the journey, he shared, “I made this film when I was hungry as an actor. I believe every story that comes to me is a divine opportunity. A film isn’t just my dream, but also of the director, producers, and every technician who works behind it. We all came together to make this film, but it faced many hurdles when it came to release. My market value at the time did impact the film.”
Despite the setbacks, Naveen's passion hasn't faded. “I’m still hungry as an actor,” he affirmed. “That hunger is what drives me to take up all kinds of roles hero, villain, and even strong supporting characters. My role in Aravinda Sametha got a great response and became a turning point. Now, I’m doing a powerful role in Mass Jathara with Ravi Teja, and I’ve been part of projects like Showtime and 11. OTT also gave me recognition, especially with Inspector Rishi 2, which brought me massive appreciation.”
Naveen Chandra’s career is now spreading across industries. With offers pouring in from Tamil and Kannada cinema as well, the actor is embracing every opportunity with grit and gratitude. As he puts it, “I haven’t left anything behind. I’m still hungry… and I will keep going.”
