Nayanthara’s 60-Foot Cutout Grabs Attention, But Is It Enough?

Nayanthara is grabbing attention ahead of Mookuthi Amman 2 with a massive 60-foot cutout at Vels Theatres in Chembarambakkam, Chennai. The cutout is reportedly being hailed as the tallest ever erected for an actress in India.

Directed by Sundar C, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on November 6, 2026. It will also release in Telugu as Mahasakthi.

Huge cutouts are usually associated with star heroes and their film releases. Nayanthara receiving similar attention shows her popularity among fans. However, the big cutout alone may not be enough to create strong interest in the film.

So far, Mookuthi Amman 2 has not generated the expected buzz. With the release date approaching, the makers need to step up promotions and reach a wider audience.

The film also faces tough competition at the box office, with Suriya’s Scene and the big-budget Ramayana scheduled around the same period. Standing out among these releases will be a major challenge.

Produced by Vels Film International and Rowdy Pictures, the film features Regina Cassandra, Duniya Vijay, Ajay Ghosh, Urvashi, Abhinaya and Yogi Babu in key roles.

The 60-foot cutout has certainly brought Nayanthara into the spotlight. The bigger question is whether the makers can turn that attention into genuine excitement and bring audiences to theatres.
