Nayanthara is one of the popular actresses who usually stays away from film promotional events. However, she made an exception for Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. The actress attended the film's trailer launch in Bengaluru and spoke openly about her co-star Yash.

The Toxic trailer was released on Saturday and has created strong interest among movie lovers. The film stars Yash in the lead role, with Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria in important roles. Geetu Mohandas is directing the movie.

During the trailer launch, Nayanthara explained why she normally does not attend promotional events. She said that she does not avoid promotions because she dislikes them. She simply feels that such events are not very comfortable for her. But Toxic was special to her, mainly because of Yash.

Nayanthara revealed that Yash made a phone call to her, and that was enough for her to attend the event. She also recalled the first time she met Yash before the shooting of the film.

The actress said she had worked with many superstars before, but meeting Yash was a different experience. She was surprised by his larger-than-life personality. Nayanthara jokingly wondered if she was entering "Rocky Bhai's kingdom" when she first met him.

She also praised Yash's dedication and hard work. Nayanthara said she had never seen an actor work as hard as Yash. She pointed out that he had spent around four and a half years of his life working on Toxic. She added that Yash gave a lot of his time and energy to the movie.

Nayanthara also shared an interesting moment at the end of her speech. After speaking openly about the film and Yash, she jokingly said, "Oh my God, I spoke my heart out. Maybe this is the reason I don't attend promotions."

Yash also thanked Nayanthara for being part of Toxic. He praised her talent, popularity and dedication to the project. He said that she is a major strength for the film and appreciated the effort she made despite having scheduling challenges.

Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu. The film was announced in 2023 and began shooting in 2024. It was made in Kannada and English and is scheduled to release in theatres on August 26, 2026.
