The first part of Pushpa was a tremendous success on OTT. The official Digital streaming partner of the film, Amazon prime video garnered a whole lot of attention and fame through this Allu Arjun film, which was a rage during the Covid era.

However, strangely enough, Amazon prime opted not to retain the digital streaming rights of the second part, despite the magnanimous success of the first part. This is when Netflix scooped in and acquired the OTT rights of the second part from the Pushpa franchise.

Comparatively, the second part of Pushpa is a much bigger hit at the box office when compared to the first part. The footprint and reach of the second part is substantially bigger than the first one.

What this essentially means is that Netflix has an absolute banger in the form of Pushpa 2. Given the kind of reception, the film is getting across the Hindi speaking belts in northern India. It could very well be a ragging sensation on OTT.

It appears that Netflix has struck gold with this Allu Arjun and Sukumar film as it is setting the Hindi box office on absolute fire. If this rage continues on the OTT as well, then Netflix digital footprint in the northern India belt will get amplified by multiple times.

All the wild Netflix was carried on the shoulders of hallmark films, like RRR, Salaar, and Animal. Now the OTT giant could be having another cornerstone film in the form of Pushpa 2. If this new outing from the Pushpa franchise is as big as the first part, then it could be argued that Netflix has landed an absolute banger.

Netflix has paid a whopping amount of money to get their hands on the OTT rights of this Allu Arjun film. So it is only right that the OTT platform sees a metric rise in their leadership with this intense action drama.
