By: Tupaki Desk | 12 March 2026 8:51 PM ISTIt is already known that Hyderabad had been operating as the prime location for all of Indian cinema as Telugu films have started to dominate the global Cinema scene. In this context, Netflix has done something interesting as they have set up a new plant in Hyderabad.
Streaming giant Netflix has expanded its footprint in India by launching a major new production and technology hub in Hyderabad. The company recently inaugurated its global innovation arm called Eyeline Studios, marking a significant investment in the country’s growing digital entertainment ecosystem.
The new facility is located in the city’s technology corridor, HITEC City, where Netflix has leased roughly 40,000 to 41,000 square feet of office space. This center becomes the company’s second major base in India after its Mumbai office and is expected to act as a key global capability center supporting Netflix’s worldwide production operations.
The Hyderabad unit primarily focuses on advanced visual effects, animation, and virtual production technologies. Through Eyeline Studios, Netflix plans to build a strong pipeline for post production work including editing, CGI, rendering, and special effects used in films and web series across the globe.
The hub will also integrate new production technologies and digital workflows that help streamline large scale content creation. Industry experts say the center will support global content production by coordinating project management, technical workflows, and vendor collaboration with studios worldwide. It will also contribute to India’s Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics sector by creating jobs and developing local creative talent.
With this expansion, Hyderabad is rapidly emerging as an international hub for media technology and digital filmmaking, positioning India as an important backend powerhouse for global entertainment production.
