Pushpa 2 Stampede Issue: NHRC Accepts Petition

The movie lovers are saddened to know that a woman named Revathi died at the Sandhya theatre premises during the chaos created on the release day of Pushpa 2. Now, the Human Rights Commission is serious in the issue.

We hear that lawyer Rama Rao Immineni has filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) against the movie 'Pushpa-2'. He stated in his complaint that a woman lost her life in a stampede at Sandhya Theater during the movie's release. He requested action to be taken in this regard. He also expressed his impatience with the police for not responding properly despite the possibility of estimating the crowd in advance.

The advocate also stated in the complaint that the pre-release event was organized without any prior permission. The petitioner alleged that the woman died due to the stampede caused due to lathi charge by the Chikkadapalli police and failure to take any precautions. He stated in his complaint that an inquiry should be conducted into the incident and action should be taken.

The NHRC, which accepted the petition for hearing, will investigate the matter.
