The rising prices of movie tickets at single screen theaters and multiplexes have been a long-standing issue for moviegoers across the country. Tollywood actor Nikhil recently expressed his frustration about these expensive rates on X (formerly Twitter). In a post on Saturday evening, he highlighted the issue of exorbitant ticket prices and pointed out that the real problem lies in the inflated prices of snacks. “High ticket rates should be capped,” Nikhil said making his frustration to spend more money on popcorn and cold drinks than on the actual movie.

Nikhil shared a personal experience where he was shocked to find that he spent more on snacks than on the movie itself. He urged the distribution circles to address this issue, so more people can afford to enjoy films on the big screen. “I request the distribution circles to please address this concern so we can have more audience enjoying movies on the big screen,” he said in his tweet.

In his post, Nikhil also made a suggestion that resonated with many of his followers: “At least allow us to take our water bottles into the theaters.” His tweet quickly gained traction, with many agreeing with his sentiments.
