Buzz: Nikhil’s Big Budgeted VFX Film Postponed Again

With films like Karthikeya, Karthikeya, and Karthikeya 2 doing extremely well even at the Bollywood box office, Telugu star Nikhil emerged as that bankable hero for fantasy-driven movies. Though his later films like 18 Pages and Spy have disappointed, he’s now coming up with a mega-budgeted epic movie, “Swayambhu”, which has been on the production floor for quite some time.

Earlier, the film Swayambhu, directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, announced February 13, 2026, as the grand pan-India release date for the movie. However, the pending Visual Effects work is said to have delayed the post-production further, and the movie is now likely to hit cinemas in the summer or in mid 2026. Already, Nikhil has spent almost 2 years on this film, for which he prepared himself in stunts, horse riding, and other epic-fantasy-related efforts. Some close associates of Nikhil, who have earlier directed him in some blockbusters, revealed that Swayambhu has turned out extremely well, and the film will become a grand blockbuster no matter when it releases.

With this assurance coming from noted filmmakers, surely Swayambhu is worth the wait. The film features Kannada beauty Nabha Natesh in the leading lady’s role, while KGF fame Ravi Basrur is composing the music.
