No matter how rich they are, the Ambani family is always very cultural and gives a lot of value and respect to Indian traditions. Despite all the different celebrations that happened over the last few weeks, they followed every Hindu ritual they believed in for the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

The pictures and videos of this grand event are all over the social media. There is one emotional video of Nita Ambani explaining the significance of 'Kanyadaan' process that is touching everyone's hearts right now. In this video, she says, “At this moment, I am overwhelmed with emotions joy, gratitude and deep devotion as I watch these two beautiful pieces of my heart Anant and Radhika unite in this eternal bond. In Hindu tradition marriage is a solemn promise not just for this lifetime but seven lifetimes. It's a belief that souls are destined to find each other do so again and again.”

She added, “As a daughter myself, as a mother of a daughter and as a mother-in-law, I know that no parents can give away their daughters. They are life's biggest blessings and greatest joys. They are manifestations of the goddess Lakshmi. They are the purest part of our souls intertwined with our very being. How does one part with the piece of their heart? A daughter is not a possession to be transferred. She is a blessing to be cherished and treasured. She is a source of happiness, love and light that will now also share with a new family.”

She went on to say, “India's spiritual and cultural traditions hold women in the highest esteem. Our scriptures teach us where there are daughters, there is auspiciousness. Daughters have a higher god-given power. That is why we call our land, water and every part of nature 'mother'. I wish to emphasize that Hinduism is capable of constant self-renewal. Indian weddings rest on the foundation of perfect equality between bride and groom along with their families. Hence the true cultural significance of Kanyadaan is that the bride's parents accept the groom as their son and entrust his family with their precious daughter.”

She promised that Radhika will always be protected like our daughter and cherished as Anant's soulmate. She welcomed her as the youngest daughter-in-law in their family and called her Mrs. Radhika Anant Ambani which generated a lot of applause.
