Robinhood Storms ZEE5 With 50 Million Minutes

2025 Heist action comedy film Robinhood didn’t make much of a splash in theatres, but its digital run has taken a sharp turn. After dropping on ZEE5 on May 10, Nithiin’s action film has picked up serious pace, clocking over 50 million streaming minutes and climbing to the top spot on the platform.

Directed by Venky Kudumula, the film features Nithiin as Ram, an orphan who becomes a thief targeting the corrupt rich. His path crosses with the drug mafia, pulling in Sreeleela as Neera and even a surprise appearance by David Warner. Though it struggled in cinemas, the mix of crime, social justice, and fast turns seems to be working better with OTT viewers.

The story follows Ram and Neera through a series of heists and risks, with enough momentum to keep online audiences hooked. While it didn’t hit the mark in theatres, the film has clearly found its crowd on streaming.

Next up, Nithiin returns with Thammudu on July 4. Directed by Venu Sriram, the film focuses on a brother-sister relationship, where the brother stands by his sister through thick and thin. Swasika Vijay and Varsha Bollamma are part of the cast.
