How much money Dil Raju losing on Thammudu!

There was once a time when star producer, Dil Raju was one of the most reputed and talented film producers in Telugu cinema. The thing with Dil Raju back, then was that he had complete control on every step of production and used to make quality films in strict budgets.

However, that is not even remotely the case with Raju now, as he has been delivering failures back to back without much respite to him or his production house, which is virtually bleeding money now.

The latest news is that Raju is going to lose in the range of ₹35 crore for his latest film Tammudu. Apparently, this film is going to leave Dil Raju with hefty losses to the degree that he might need more time to recover from the same.

The film was reportedly shot on a budget of around 70 crore. In that case, the production cost and the remuneration for the other actors could have piled up big time. Director Venu Sriram and Hero Nitin did not take any remuneration for this film, and this is some sort of saving grace for Raju.

But at the end of the day, the theatrical returns of the film, were abnormally weak. Important could not even recover 10% of the theatrical evaluation that was placed on it, and this pretty much sums up the kind of skill that Dil Raju finds himself in.

Whatever recovery that has been done by this film, primarily came from non-theatrical rights, including the satellite and OTT sales. But even in that case, Raju is likely to lose in the range of ₹35 crore.

Raju was very confident about this project back in the day, but that is not going to be the case anymore as he is losing big money on this film.
