And her answers are never sugar-coated, and her opinions too. During a recent interaction, she was asked a very typical question, “Pregnancy before marriage or after marriage?”. While the question itself is too much, here is what she said.

Her reply was simple, direct, and already got people talking on social media: “Whether you get married or not, you can get pregnant and have a kid, what’s wrong?” She just shared her point of view, but tomorrow we might see woke-liberals and woke-rightists, slamming her left, right and centre on Twitter for sure. When asked about choosing between marriage and a life without kids, she gave a very different answer: “Marital Relationship + Kids Free Life”, she said.

For Nithya, it’s not about following a set template. It’s about what works for her. She explained it further: “I always want to spend time with my mother and father, but I don’t want to dedicate that space to someone else. Apart from that, I want to be alone and stay silent. Even my acting profession is full of noise and lights, that’s why choosing silence and staying alone is something that naturally comes.”

Because in cinema, especially for actresses, personal choices are often expected to fit a certain image. Marriage, kids, family, everything has a “timeline”, but Nithya Menen is someone who has not been in that zone for a long time. And that’s why even off-screen, she stands out.
