Known for his hit movies like 'Banglore Days' and 'Premam', Malayalam hero Nivin Pauly is trying to make a comeback after a set of failures. Recently, his name came up with the ongoing wave of se*xual assault accusations that are taking place in the Malayalam film industry. It all started with the Hema Committee report grabbing the headlines.

Reports have spread across the internet that a police case was filed against Nivin Pauly along with five others in the Oonnukal Police district. In this registered case, Nivin's name was reportedly in sixth and a woman named Shreya has reportedly filed this case. The actress was allegedly invited to Dubai in the name of story discussion and got sexually assaulted.

This news spread like wildfire and people started posting negatively about the 'Premam' actor. However, the actor is quick to dismiss all these as mere rumours. He officially released a statement condemning these allegations. He claims them as fake and assures that he will take legal action. He held an emergency meet with the press on Tuesday night and claimed that he is unaware of the women.

ANI mentioned Nivin Pauly saying, “I saw the news just now. I don't know that girl, and I haven't seen her. This is a baseless allegation. The news is affecting us because I have a family. I called for this press conference at this time because I am 100% sure that I am not at fault. An FIR has been registered, and I will handle the case according to the law and will fight against it. I will go to any extent to prove the truth. This will take time.”

Many big names in the Malayalam Film Industry were hit by se*xual allegations which include the likes of Siddique, Mukesh and others. With Mohanlal resigning from the Association Of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), the Hema committee report gained more significance.
