Supreme hero Sai Dharam Tej is set to headline the upcoming film 'Gaanja Shankar'. However, the movie has recently drawn the attention of the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) police, who issued notices concerning its content.

In the notices, the TS NAB police recommended the removal of the word "gaanja" from the film, citing concerns about scenes promoting cannabis plants and their potential impact on youth. They cautioned that any objectionable drug-related content could prompt action under the NDPS Act of 1985.

Directed by Sampath Nandi and produced by Naga Vamshi under the Sitara Entertainments banner, 'Gaanja Shankar' has garnered attention with its initial glimpses. Being Sai Dharam Tej's next project following the successful 'Virupaksha', there's considerable anticipation surrounding the film, especially given Tej's new appearance hinted at in the pre-look.

On the other hand, there are many speculations in the movie industry that Gaanja Shankar has been shelved. But, there is no clarity on when the film will progress. The team will now be in a dilemma because of the notices from the police officials. We have to see what they will come up with, as a response now.
