Junior NTR's strategy of working with directors who have faced flops and turning their fortunes around has become a defining pattern in his career. Despite some mixed initial talk about Devara, NTR's confidence in Koratala Siva after the disappointment of Acharya seems to be paying off.

Earlier, NTR worked with Surender Reddy for the film Ashok, right after he scored a success with Athanokkade. And then, NTR worked with Santosh Srinivas for Rabhasa right after he scored a hit with Kandireega. He did Ramayya Vasthavayya with Harish Shankar after he scored a success with Gabbar Singh. NTR did Dhammu with Boyapati after Legend became successful. Unfortunately, NTR tasted flops when worked with hit directors.

But now, NTR changed his strategy and is working with directors who are in flops and it is giving him good results.

NTR did Temper with Puri Jagannath when Jyothi Lakshmi was a flop. He did Nannaku Prematho with Sukumar after 1 Nenokkadine. And then, he worked with Bobby for Jai Lava Kusa after Sardaar Gabbar Singh failed. NTR did Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava with Trivikram after the failure of Agnyathavaasi. Now, Koratala worked with NTR after Acharya failed.

This approach of backing directors when they are down has only strengthened his reputation as a star capable of delivering hits in unexpected collaborations.
