Even positive feedback and review doesn't seem to get audiences into theatres. It looks like only new stories and good word of mouth would achieve collections.

October is an important month for Telugu cinema especially because of the Dasara festival. The industry usually expects good box office collections during this season. However October 2026 has ended with mixed results. Even though several films received positive feedback, their collections were not as strong as expected.

One of the biggest disappointments was the performance of films like Tella Kagitham. The movie created some buzz before its release, but it failed to bring audiences to theatres in large numbers. Similarly, Comrade Kalyan received a better response and offered some relief, but its collections were not at the expected level.

The first week of October was disappointing for the Telugu box office. Films like Sigma and Don't Trouble the Trouble failed to attract audiences despite having good production support. Tella Kagitham also could not turn its initial attention into strong collections.

The third week brought some excitement with the release of Jailer 2. The film performed better than expected and collected impressive numbers. However its high break even target made it difficult to judge its final commercial result.

Ranabaali also managed to collect decent numbers despite facing negative feedback in some areas. However, the film could not achieve the expected results in certain Telugu regions and overseas markets.

Garividi Lakshmi performed well in North Andhra but failed to impress audiences in other areas. Horror film 418 received good openings because of its strong buzz. Although the talk did not improve much after its release, the film's low budget helped it recover its investment quickly.

At the end of the month, Aadarsha Kutumbam and AK 47 received decent responses, while Cult faced questions about its performance after the first weekend.

October had several films with positive feedback and promising openings. However, most of them failed to convert that response into strong box office collections.
