But at the same time, something very interesting is happening on social media. Re-release videos of old films like Darling and Prema Kavali are trending everywhere. Fans are sharing clips, songs, and emotional scenes again and again.
Recently Darling, starring Prabhas, was re-released in theatres and collected around Rs 10 crore. This is a big surprise for everyone. Similarly, old films like Shiva also performed well during re-release. Now, even Prema Kavali scenes are going viral online, showing how much people still love these films.
So, why is this happening?
The main reason is content and connection. Old films have simple stories, strong emotions, and memorable music. They connect easily with the audience, especially youngsters. Even though these movies are already available on YouTube and OTT platforms, people still enjoy watching them again in theatres or sharing them online.
Another reason for this trend is the connection with Gen Z audiences. Many new films are not matching their tastes. But older films like Darling and Prema Kavali have simple storytelling and relatable emotions, which are easy to connect with. That is why these re-release videos are becoming viral.
This trend sends a clear message to filmmakers. Big promotions alone are not enough. Audiences want good content that touches their hearts. If movies can create that connection, they will surely bring people to theatres just like these re-releases are doing now.
