Telugu Pressure Makes Tamil Hero Advance His Release
These days, finding a release date in the Tamil circuit alone is easier, but finding a date where they would get terrific positioning at the Telugu box office is getting tougher.

Tamil hero Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film Parasakthi has reportedly advanced its release date, and the reason appears to be finding the proper Telugu date rather than Tamil competition.
Originally slated to hit cinemas on January 14, Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara and featuring Sreeleela in the lead, is now planned for an early release on January 10. After releasing all the songs and promoting the film big time in Tamil, it looks like they have found that this advancement is an ideal move.
Interestingly, Parasakthi’s makers don’t seem worried about clashing with Tamil Superstar Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, which is also expected to hit theatres on the same day. Because if SK’s movie comes up on Sankranthi eve, then there is no scope to find theatres in the already overloaded Telugu box office.
This Pongal, Telugu cinema is witnessing an expected heavy lineup, with five big films eyeing prime screens during the festival period. With the likes of Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Raviteja, Sharwanand, Naveen and others in the race already, with their distribution partners locked for the respective movies, surely Tamil films have to wait.
Also, Telugu producers are not running after big Tamil movies these days, hence the advance of Parasakthi, says some trade folks.
