Parineeti Chopra is one actress who started off her career on a very promising note but never reached the expected heights. Her acting skills were lauded right from the very first film but her bad script selection cost her a lot. It has been a long time since she scored a hit. She recently made a comeback with 'Chamkila' and she recently talked about her film career.

She said, “The plan is just to do films that really feel right. I have done films for the wrong reasons. Sometimes, I have done films that I may not have believed in. It feels like there is homework for me to do when the audience are going to really get a crazy good performance out of me. It just motivates me to do such roles that require homework. Homework that maybe nobody else can do.”

Talking about what she went through for 'Chamkila', the 'Kill Dill' actress revealed, “I had to put on 16 kg for this film. How many actresses are really ready to do that today? I only know a couple, only a couple of actresses who have done that – really dedicated, committed actresses.”

She went on to add, “Just for two years, I didn't do any other work. Singing live on the sets – who takes that risk to sing live on a set and let that sound be used in a film? Nobody is confident enough to do it. They want to do it in a studio. So, I think there are many things that Diljit and I both did in this film under the leadership of Imtiaz sir, that are not usually done. That motivates me to take more risks because we believe in the audience, and they accept us when we do these kinds of things.”

When asked about her life in general, she replied, “I live my life in a very holistic and wholesome way. I give equal importance to every single thing in my life. My career is not everything. My food is not everything. My travel is not everything. My rest is not everything. Except for my family, nothing consumes my life.”
