In cinema, sometimes a small decision can change the rhythm of a big story. Telugu audiences know this better than anyone, as songs once ruled theatres and kept films alive for weeks. Today, the focus is shifting. Viewers want gripping stories without distractions, and even costly songs get cut if they break the flow. That’s exactly what happened with Pawan Kalyan’s latest film, They Call Him OG.

The film, directed by Sujeeth, was released last Thursday and is roaring at the box office. Pawan appears in a fierce action role, supported by a strong cast that includes Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy and Prakash Raj. With Thaman S handling the music and DVV Danayya backing the project under DVV Entertainments, the movie arrived with high expectations. Fans, however, noticed the absence of Neha Shetty’s special song that was shot in Bangkok and widely discussed on social media.

Music director Thaman addressed the buzz, explaining that the track was removed because it slowed the film’s pace. Still, the team found a new way to use it and confirmed the song will return to theatres starting Monday. This unusual move has raised curiosity, and many expect the addition to give audiences another reason to revisit the film. Alongside this, the makers are planning a grand success meet in Hyderabad on Wednesday, celebrating both the box office numbers and the excitement around the special song.

Meanwhile, the film’s collections are racing ahead. On Day 4, They Call Him OG earned an estimated ₹18.50 crore net, taking its total close to ₹150 crore in India. With theatres recording strong afternoon crowds and steady evening numbers, the momentum shows no sign of slowing. For fans, it’s a double treat: a powerful action entertainer and the promise of a fresh song on the big screen. For Pawan Kalyan, it marks another solid box office triumph that reinforces his pan-India pull.
