OG had a pretty impressive run at the United States box office in the first three days, but it has started to slowdown considerably now, which was always expected to be the case after the massive start that it got.

The film made around $4.9 million in its first weekend, which is still a record for Pawan Kalyan but fell just short of the target of $5 million.

Before the weekend started, OG had already created history with over $3 million in premiere shows. This showed the huge hype and strong fan base in North America.

However, after the premieres, the film’s speed slowed down. By Saturday night, the collections stood at $4.71 million, and by Sunday it added just over $200,000 more, ending the weekend at $4.9 million.

Trade experts believe that the film will still cross the $5 million mark in the coming days, possibly on Monday itself.

Missing the weekend target is more of a symbolic loss because $5M is considered a benchmark for big Telugu movies in the U.S. Still, the film’s numbers are very impressive for Pawan Kalyan and show his strong overseas market.

The report also highlighted another film, Mirai starring Teja Sajja, which crossed $3 million in 17 days, proving to be a good success on its own. Both films together show the growing strength of Telugu cinema in the U.S. market.
