Devara Did It Well, What About OG?

Certain box office comparisons are being drawn between OG and Devara which happen to be two clashing films in terms of star power. Pawan Kalyan has come back to the big screen with his latest film OG, which released recently with huge expectations.

Right from the release, fans have been celebrating Pawan Kalyan’s powerful screen presence and stylish swag. Many are praising Sujeeth for giving their favorite star a strong comeback.

However, neutral movie lovers feel that the story could have been worked out better. This has created a split reaction, fans are thrilled, while some audiences are a bit disappointed.

Interestingly, a similar situation happened last year with Jr. NTR’s Devara, directed by Koratala Siva. While fans loved the movie, general audiences had mixed reactions. Still, it went on to collect over ₹500 crore worldwide, becoming a clean hit.

Now, trade experts believe OG could also repeat the same result. With the Dasara season, no major competition, and Pawan’s massive fan base, many expect OG to score big at the box office.

It has to be seen if the Pawan Kalyan film will be able to replicate the box office madness created by Devara with a similar word of mouth and divided talk. This is going to be the biggest challenge for the film now to uphold the momentum at the box office.
