HHVM Postponed: Telangana FC Not Happy?

Please already know that Pawan Kalyan has postponed his big budget action film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu for n number of times already. But this time around, even the Telangana film chamber has reacted to the same, and they do not appear to be pleased with what is happening.

TFCC (Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce) Secretary Sridhar has alleged that two producers and two directors are secretly behind the current theatre strike in Telangana.

He did not reveal their names but claimed they are trying to stop the release of the film “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” starring Pawan Kalyan. Due to this, theatres are empty and are facing heavy losses. He stated that many theatres were left open to welcome the Pawan Kalyan film, but it got postponed and left the entire month open.

Sridhar said that only a few Telugu films in 2025 have done well, such as “Sankranthiki Vasthunam”, “Court”, and “Mad Square”. He also raised concerns about the high payments being demanded by some actors.

He mentioned that some actors whose films collect less than ₹2 crore are asking for ₹13 crore as remuneration. He said this trend is hurting the film industry, especially single-screen theatres.

The strike is mainly due to disagreements between producers and exhibitors about whether theatres should be rented or share revenue from ticket sales.

A committee has been formed to find a solution, but the delay of big releases like “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” has made the situation worse. The film industry is waiting for clear decisions and cooperation from all sides.
