Can Pawan Kalyan Play Active Role In Addressing Industry Issues?

TDP-BJP-Janasena are in alliance for the elections. The three parties came to a common opinion on seat sharing too. Earlier it was reported that Janasena would get a good number of seats but it was allocated fewer seats. The parties are busy campaigning for the upcoming elections.

Now it is said that the industry is looking at the Janasena chief to see if he can be their savior and address the issues the industry is facing. The film industry has been going through some issues since the Covid outbreak.

The Telugu film industry has two big areas which are AP and Telangana. Telangana has been supporting the industry and there are not many issues for the industry here. When the industry bigwigs met the former CM KCR to get permission to re-start the shoots the permission was given.

There are no issues with the ticket prices too and the makers will be allowed to increase the fares. The existing ticket fares are also good. But the same is not the case with Andhra Pradesh.

The Andhra Pradesh government brought a GO to regulate movie ticket prices. This is said to be a big blow. The lower prices would not help the industry given the big amounts that go into making a film. After the Covid outbreak, everything changed and the span of making films also increased.

When the Tollywood delegation led by Chiranjeevi met Jagan, he tried to convey the same to the government. The current Govt is allowing ticket prices to be increased but permission needs to be taken and only big films are allowed for this.

Now a big discussion has started on whether Pawan Kalyan can help address the issues if the alliance comes to power in the state. TDP already has the image that it responds positively to the requests that come from the industry.

If Pawan could push further on this then the issues would be sorted out. Janasena chief is a big star in the industry and knows the issues. Few of his films faced issues with ticket prices. Pawan Kalyan’s suggestion would have a big weightage as the alliance is in progress. Let us wait and see.
