Director Srikanth Addala made a remarkable debut in the film industry with Kotha Bangaru Lokam, and his success continued with the blockbuster Seethama Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. However, his career took a sharp downturn with the release of Brahmotsavam. This film turned out to be a significant disappointment for both the director and the audience.

Brahmotsavam faced significant losses in the Tollywood industry. Following this, Srikanth Addala directed Narappa, a rural action drama, which was a remake and released directly on OTT platform. The film gained decent response.

Subsequently, he continued in the genre of raw, rustic mass films and came up with Peddha Kapu 1. Unfortunately, this film turned out to be an even bigger disaster than Brahmotsavam, failing to recover even 1% of its production and distribution costs. Buyers who had acquired the movie at high prices suffered a 100% loss.

The worldwide rights for Peddha Kapu 1 were sold for Rs 12.5 Crores, but the film's release didn't go as expected. The audience showed little interest in watching it, and those who did watch it had negative feedback. Due to mixed and poor word-of-mouth, the film earned less than Rs 30 Lakhs on its opening day, shocking the trade and buyers. In the end, it proved to be a greater disaster than Brahmotsavam.

Given the challenges Srikanth Addala has faced in his recent career, it's uncertain whether his dream projects like Annayya and a possible sequel to Seethama Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu will ever become a reality. The question on everyone's mind is whether he can overcome his recent struggles and achieve the success he once had.
