People often say that the game is bigger than the player. But while watching Peddi, it feels like the player becomes bigger than the game. As an athlete who shines in three different sports, Peddi is a character that keeps the audience interested throughout. The wrestling portions especially deliver some exciting moments in theatres.

A lot of the credit goes to Ram Charan. His dedication, body language, and emotional performance make Peddi a strong and memorable character. The film shows how much impact an actor can create when he completely gets into a role.

Director Buchi Babu has chosen a story filled with emotions, sports, and commercial elements. The idea of combining three different sports in one story is interesting. However, at some points, the focus stays more on Peddi than on the sports themselves.

Even then, the film moves at a steady pace. Despite its long runtime of over three hours, there are not many boring moments. The mix of emotions, mass scenes, and sports drama keeps the audience engaged.
