People Media Hoping Big On Two Sequels Now

Some back-to-back flops in a row haven’t hurt the popular production house, People Media Factory, big time. Despite scoring flops like Eagle and other movies, the production house continued to bring films, almost a film every 3 months. But then, they have pinned all the hopes on Superstar Prabhas’ “Raaja Saab”. The production felt that this big-budget fantasy entertainer would change their fortunes forever, minting around ₹1000 crores easily.

However, when the film The Raaja Saab hit cinemas early in January this year, the biggest shocker hit People Media Factory. The film flopped big time, and hasn’t even collected the budget invested in it, forget about making profits, and forget about recovering all the money lost in the previous films. That slowed down People Media Factory a lot, and for the first time, they are now planning more carefully. Already, some projects in the making are scrapped even though they have finished a schedule or two. At the same time, all the focus is being invested in two big sequels, belonging to the same hero.

It could be noticed that Mirai is the only big blockbuster that PMF has seen in recent times. Now, they are making a sequel to the movie, Mirai 2, banking on Teja Sajja’s newfound fame as well as the market in the north of India. And then, the same hero will be starring in Zombie Reddy 2, a sequel to another film that worked well earlier. PMF is investing and hoping big on these two sequels, in a bid to score back-to-back successes, rather than bringing many films that are not working.
