Most Interesting Sequel: Rs 2000 Cr Possible?

The latest trends are suggesting that Indian cinema has fully embraced the culture of sequels and franchise films, which have been ruling the roost for the last few years. In this context, we are now hearing about a new sequel that has a lot of prospect going its way.

The sequel in discussion here does not belong to Telugu cinema, but instead it belongs to Hindi cinema and it features none other than superstar Aamir Khan in the lead role.

Earlier Aamir Khan and star director Rajkumar Hirani, who is one of the greatest ever directors in Indian cinema came together for PK. The film was a mega success at the box office and it generated substantial revenues as well.

It is being reported that the makers are contemplating the idea of this sequel for this film and the idea has already been approved by Aamir Khan.

In the first part itself, the sequel idea was planted cleverly as we see Aamir Khan and another superstar Ranbir Kapoor and crucial roles towards the end of the film. Now that the idea of the sequel has been planted successfully in the first part itself, it is only a matter of time before the equal is made.

The immediate priority of Aamir Khan and Director Rajkumar is to make the biopic of legendary Dadasaheb Phalke, and once that is done, they could start working on this sequel for PK.

Considering the wide reach that the first part got and the potential collaboration of Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, it could be said that the sequel has a very good chance of collecting over ₹2000 crore at the global box office.
