Ram Charan Reveals What PM Modi Asked About Peddi

Actor Ram Charan recently shared an interesting memory about his meeting with Narendra Modi while promoting his upcoming film Peddi in Delhi. The actor revealed that the Prime Minister had asked him about the story of the film and was keen to know its main idea.

Speaking at the event, Ram Charan recalled, "The last time I met our Honourable Prime Minister Modi Ji in Delhi, he asked me what Peddi was about. I told him it's about an evolved India and empowering our villages."

The actor explained that the film is closely connected to the idea of a developed India. According to him, Peddi highlights the importance of villages and the role they play in the country's growth. He said the film celebrates the strength, talent, and determination found in rural communities.

Ram Charan also spoke about sports and how they can transform lives. He pointed out that many members of India's archery team come from tribal and rural backgrounds. The actor said these athletes naturally possess exceptional talent and deserve recognition and support.

Talking about the same topic, Ram Charan said, "Our archery team in India largely comprises tribal athletes. Inherently, they possess that talent for the bow and arrow. None of them are from cities. They have come from tribal communities."

The actor further revealed that he connected the film's theme with the Prime Minister's vision for the country. Recalling his words during the meeting, he said, "Sir, it is about how Viksit Bharat is about empowering our villages. Waisa hi concept hai Sir."

After hearing about the film, PM Modi shared an inspiring story from West Bengal. Ram Charan recalled, "Modi Ji shared a story from West Bengal, where decades ago a footballer from a small village represented India, and today over 85 people from that same village play football."

The actor said the story left a strong impression on him because it showed how one person's success can inspire an entire community. He believes the message perfectly matches the spirit of Peddi, which focuses on opportunity, ambition, and growth in rural India.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma. The film is expected to present an inspiring sports-based story rooted in Indian culture, village life, and the vision of a stronger and more developed nation.
