Niharika Konidela's Pink Elephant Pictures Announces 'Pocket Rockets', Where Dreams Meet Dangerous Odds

A young man’s determination to transcend his circumstances takes an unpredictable turn in Pocket Rockets, the upcoming urban drama from Niharika Konidela’s Pink Elephant Pictures, in association with Maximum City Studios. Penned and helmed by Rudra Atri, the film brings a story of aspiration, vulnerability and high-stakes choices to the screen.

The protagonist is a gifted student from a financially disadvantaged background, determined to pursue his education abroad. With limited means standing between him and his goal, he ventures into gambling, drawing the attention of a manipulative gambling shark. This encounter forms the foundation of the film’s central conflict, placing the pursuit of opportunity against the risks of entering a world governed by someone else’s terms. The makers have kept the finer details of the storyline undisclosed.

The cast features Trinadh Varma, known for Committee Kurrollu, and Nirmal in the lead roles. Shriya Kontham, associated with Shubham, plays the female lead, while JD Chakravarthy takes on a pivotal character. The casting brings together performers from different backgrounds within a narrative shaped by contemporary urban realities.

Behind the film are producers Padmaja Konidela, Rahul Raghavendra and Rahul Nimmakuri, with Ramesh Manyam as executive producer. Edurolu Raju oversees cinematography, Gyaani composes the music, and Anwar Ali is responsible for editing. The crew also includes production designer Vishnu Vardhan Pulla, action choreographer Rajesh Lanka, choreographer JD, costume designer Anusha Devara and SFX supervisor Sai Maneendhar Reddy. Murali Krishna Katta serves as co-director, alongside makeup chief Pasupuleti Ravi Kumar, costume chief R. Bhupal Rao and production controller Rawindar Bekkam. Stills are handled by Varahala Murthy, with SK Naidu and Phani Kandukuri of Beyond Media overseeing publicity.

Having completed its shoot, Pocket Rockets is currently in post-production. The makers will announce the release date and further information about the film in due course.
