Speaking during an interaction with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the actor said, "From the start of my career, I mostly did action films. Doing the same type of films became boring. I wanted a change, and that is why I chose a film like The RajaSaab."
He also recalled his past decision to experiment. "Around 15 years ago, I did Darling. Many people said it would not work. But the film became a big success. That gave me confidence to try something new again," Prabhas added, referring to Darling.
Prabhas explained that The RajaSaab is made mainly to entertain Indian audiences. "Now my focus is only on entertaining people. That is why I accepted this story," he said. The film has a unique emotional angle. "It is a grandmother–grandson story. The grandmother’s husband is the villain. Due to unexpected situations, we go to a ruined palace. Why we go there should be watched on screen," he revealed.
The actor also spoke about the film’s title. "At the beginning, we discussed two or three titles. Finally, we felt The RajaSaab suited the story best," he said.
The movie stars Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Nidhhi Agerwal in key roles. Sanjay Dutt plays the main villain.
During the same discussion, the Spirit poster was also mentioned. Sandeep Reddy Vanga said, "After Baahubali, we thought a lot about how to present Prabhas. The glass in his hand looks small because it is actually a one-litre bottle. That scene will be very interesting." He also explained why white color stands out in the poster, saying it was done to draw attention to key elements.
The RajaSaab is set for a grand Sankranthi release on January 9.
