Buzz: Prabhas’ Thriller With Malayalam Director

With lots of pan-India films in the lineup, Superstar Prabhas’ filmography looks solid, and he has interesting movies coming up. Hanu Raghavpudi’s Fauzi, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, Prashant Neel’s Salaar 2 and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2 are the projects he has. However, amidst these biggies, Prabhas wants to do a small-budget thriller, and it looks like the fielding is already set for the same.

Malayalam director Dinjith Ayyathan is known for movies like Kishkindha Kaandam and Ekō, and those thrillers are stunners big time, and got a huge following on OTT platforms too. Reports are coming that recently Dinjith met Prabhas and narrated a thriller story to him. Earlier, this film was supposed to be made with Dhanush, but some creative differences led to the director reaching out to Prabhas. Reports say that UV Creations will bankroll this film, and it will be officially announced soon.

However, some feel that, currently, Prabhas does not have time for the next two years to wrap the projects in hand, and are wondering if he could really give time to this thriller by the Malayalam director. Also, they will wrap the films in one go rather than multiple schedules, so Prabhas might be giving bulk dates and wrapping the film in a short time.

Just in case if the film materialises, surely Prabhas fans will be on cloud nine because of the director’s proven capabilities.
