From ₹30 Cr To ₹300 Cr, Can Director Deliver?

For reasons better known to him, after delivering a stupendous blockbuster through SS Rajamouli, the director who knows how to master the big-budget game, Superstar Prabhas somehow banked only on small directors. And that’s a tension for fans too.

Except for KGF filmmaker Prashanth Neel, who carved out a ₹300 crore-budgeted movie that made ₹2000 crores at the box office, and has then made “Salar” with Prabhas, all other directors of the actor are very low-budget directors only. The likes of Sujeeth (Saaho), Radhakrishna (Radhe Shyam), Maruthi (Raja Saab) and Nag Ashwin (Kalki) have made only less-than ₹30 crores budgeted movies before meeting Prabhas. However, when Prabhas gave them 100s of crores, only Nag Ashwin succeeded, but the others failed.

Now that Hanu Raghavapudi is also in the same category, a director whose previous blockbuster Sita Ramam was made with ₹35 crores and collected ₹100 crores, many are wondering if he is utilising the ₹300+ crores budget of Fauzi properly. Also, Hanu’s success rate is very low, as most of his films, except for Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha, have gone for a toss at the box office.

With Fauzi’s trailer facing delays and the release date locked for December 3rd, which is 3+ months away, we have to see what Hanu is really up to this time.
