With the fantasy horror thriller, directed by Maruthi, heading for a massive release on January 9th, here’s what the Censor certificate reveals to us about the runtime and other things.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the movie a U/A certificate, and one of the key details to be revealed is that the movie’s revised runtime stands at 189 minutes. Including the starting credits and end credits, the film has a runtime of a little over 3 hours. While most films in the horror genre often rely on a crisp runtime of 2 hours, it’s quite brave and astonishing that Maruthi chose to go with a 3-hour runtime for Prabhas.
According to insider reports, the first half of the film has comedy and sentiment, and the second half deals with lots of action-packed fantasy horror elements. With three heroines splashing up on the glamour front, and a bunch of star comedians being part of the movie, no doubt, Maruthi would have carved a perfect commercial entertainer for Prabhas’ fans across India.
The U/A tag further indicates that the film has intense, spooky moments, and Maruthi is attempting a genre blend on a large scale. Fans are eagerly counting down to see whether Raja Saab will live up to its massive hype.
