By: Tupaki Desk | 17 July 2025 10:10 AM ISTRajasaab hasn't hit screens yet, but it's already making big money behind the scenes. The film’s non-theatrical rights are reportedly being sold in the range of ₹180 to ₹210 crore. That’s before any box office numbers even come into play. For a film still in production, that’s a solid deal and shows how much buzz it has, mostly thanks to Prabhas.
This movie, directed by Maruthi, is a shift from Prabhas’ usual intense roles. It’s a horror comedy, and he’s seen in a retro look. The posters and early glimpses caught people by surprise and brought out a fun side of him that hasn’t been seen in a while. There’s a mix of action, comedy, romance, and songs, a typical mass formula with a different tone.
The production is being handled by People’s Media Factory with a big budget. Songs are being shot right now in Hyderabad, and the team is moving quickly to meet the December 5 release. Thaman is doing the music, which adds more energy to the project.
The hype around Rajasaab is mostly organic, no over-promotion, just solid demand. With huge numbers being quoted for both South and North Indian markets, and non-theatrical rights already locked for a big amount, the film’s business side looks sorted. Now all eyes are on whether the film will deliver on the fun it’s promising.
