Prabhas Dominates Rajni In Worldwide Market!

South cinema is now transitioning from pan-Indian cinema to pan-world cinema. The sales are getting bigger and the movies from South Indian are going to be released on a grand note which is on par with Hollywood releases. It will take shorter time than expected. As we know, Rajamouli and Mahesh's film is going to be released in many languages and many countries. Suriya's 'Kanguva' will be arriving in 36 different languages. A lot of other heroes are also going in the same direction. Even Bollywood heroes like Shah Rukh Khan and others are targeting the international markets.

Despite having so many in the race, there are two huge stars from South India and the competition among them is creating a lot of debate. A survey states that there is a box office war going on between superstar Rajnikanth and Rebel Star Prabhas. Apparently, the last five films of Prabhas have earned 77% more than what Rajni's last five films got. It is not right to compare these two as Rajni is a senior hero who gave humongous blockbusters throughout his career. Prabhas' stardom reached another level only after 'Baahubali'. It is not right to say that Prabhas overtook Rajni just by looking at the last 5 films. But the numbers say that Prabhas' films dominated Rajni's last five outings.

Rajnikanth and Prabhas are the biggest stars in the Indian film industry and both of them enjoy huge following in their respective industries. They even have fans across the nation and a few international fans as well. They are the biggest crowd-pullers in the current times. Prabhas' action saga 'Salaar' earned 615.26 crores at the box office and became a blockbuster. His previous film 'Adipurush' was a disaster despite grossing 395 crores worldwide. Even 'Radhe Shyam was a big failure though it earned 148 crores. The investment of both these films was way over the top. His 'Saaho' grossed 453 crores and we all know that 'Baahubali 2' minted over 1800 crores and shattered many records. In total, his last 5 films earned 3.411.26 crores at an average of 682.25 crores gross.

Rajnikanth's career biggest hit 'Jailer' was released on 9th August last year. Nelson directed it and it shattered a lot of records in Tamil Nadu. It earned 605 crores worldwide. His 'Annathe' grossed 175 crores and it was considered a very bad film. Before that, he acted in 'Darbar' which did not meet expectations. It got 250 crores at the end of its theatrical run. 'Petta' minted 235 crores at the box office while his prestigious '2.0' with Shankar grossed 655.44 crores worldwide. Considering its budget, this film was a cost failure. On the whole, Rajni's last five films grossed 1920.44 crores at an average of 384.08 crores.
