As today marks Tollywood darling Prabhas birthday, let us have a look at few words, the actor shared before the release of Bahubali. Prabhas made his debut with "Eeswar" in 2002 and rose to fame in 2004 with "Varsham." By 2013, when "Mirchi" hit theaters, he was already a well-known star, earning the title "Young Rebel Star." This was before his national stardom with "Bahubali: The Beginning" in 2015.

In an interview around the release of "Mirchi," Prabhas expressed his discomfort with titles given to him. He preferred to just be called Prabhas and wanted to drop the "Young Rebel Star" title for "Mirchi." However, he decided to keep it because his fans loved it, and he didn't want to disappoint them.

During that interview, Prabhas also mentioned that he wouldn't act in parallel cinema or art films. He preferred to stick with entertaining films and was open to experimenting within his image, as seen in movies like "Darling" and "Mr. Perfect." These films allowed him to explore family drama. Prabhas explained that he ventured into such projects because he needed a change from a string of action films before working on "Bahubali."

Prabhas recently played the role of Raghava in "Adipurush," which received criticism for its graphics, VFX, and character representation. Next, he's gearing up for a box-office clash with Shah Rukh Khan, with "Dunki" and "Salaar Part One" both set to release on Christmas this year. In addition to "Salaar," Prabhas has Nag Ashwin's "Kalki 2898 AD" and two other Telugu films lined up for release next year.
