Prasanth Varma is expanding his cinematic universe, PVCU, post the success of Pan-India blockbuster HanuMan, in all possible directions. Now, a huge force has been awakened from Indian Mythology, for his upcoming biggie, Mahakali, in the direction of Puja Kolluru.
The makers have introduced the face of Maha, Bhoomi Shetty, a new actress is playing the role. Laced in gold and blood, audiences can relate to popular image of Goddess Kali, at combat against the cruel Asuras, a recreation from the makers in modern times. Bhoomi Shetty looks apt for the role of Maha and highly effective in this look.
Makers have decided to go for a new face despite A-list stars showcasing interest to play such a powerful leading role. A dark-skinned girl has been chosen to bring authenticity to how a Warrior Queen has been described in Indian historical scripts.
Currently, 50% of the shoot has been completed and rest of the shoot is progressing at a rapid pace. Bollywood star Akshaye Khanna is playing Shukracharya in the film. RK Duggal and Riwaz Duggal are producing the film on a massive scale. More exciting updates to be released soon.
