Why Blockbuster Success Is Not Helping Him?
Usually, when a hero, director or heroine scores a blockbuster at the box office, their career graph will rise big time.

And if that film is an epic blockbuster, the actors and director will obviously not look back. But despite scoring a blockbuster of epic proportions, somehow director Prashanth Varma who scored his first major blockbuster with “HanuMan”, is not even planning well with his next.
Apparently, Prashant Varma’s films like Kalki and Zombie Reddy haven’t done well after a promising debut with the movie ‘Aa’. Later, he came up with the superhero fantasy movie HanuMan, and that unexpectedly went into the Sankranthi race with the likes of Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, and earned sympathy first and gigantic collections later. However, after the roaring success of that movie, to date, Prashanth Varma hasn’t come up with a proper next movie.
While he cracked the code to direct a Ranveer Singh film immediately, that was cancelled after the test shoot as the star Bollywood hero felt that the director had no clarity over the story, but lots of aggression. Then the director was supposed to make a fantasy film, but someone else is directing it now. Afterwards, he got Nandamuri Mokshagna on board, but that too didn’t work. He has a Zombie Reddy sequel coming, but only providing the story.
Looks like the supposed Jai HanuMan movie, featuring Rishabh Shetty in the lead, should work, and that’s the only film in his kitty as a director now. That will take easily a year from now to release. That means the blockbuster director is not following it up at least until 3 years after scoring HanuMan.
