Heroine Pratyusha’s Mother Makes Sensational Comments

Finally, 24 years after she was killed, heroine Pratyusha’s lover Siddharth Reddy was awarded a sentence as the Supreme Court upheld the same judgment given by the High Court earlier in 2011. Though many say that this was justice delayed and denied, the slain heroine’s mother, Sarojini Devi, who ran from pillar to post to fight against the alleged culprits and to bring them to justice, says that she accepts the Supreme Court’s judgement.

Apparently, the price of delayed justice and how middle-class people can’t stand against powerful people could be felt in her tone, as Sarojini Devi says, “The Supreme Court gave judgment as per the available proofs. But the real proofs are destroyed well in advance at the Hospital itself. They didn’t even give my daughter’s clothes at the time of the incident, but have burnt them. When no evidence is present, who could make the correct judgment?”

Recalling the whole story, she believes right from the evening Pratyusha left their house along with her cousin, to that of how she was never allowed to see her daughter at the ICU at a super-speciality hospital in Hyderabad, Sarojini Devi articulated that those truly responsible for her death would die a dog’s death. “They will bleed to death like dogs, and after going up, their souls have to plead with Pratyusha, falling on her feet,” she added.
