Another Love Story Hits ₹100 Crore Benchmark

Say it Telugu, Hindi, or any other language, love stories always have the potential to make it big on the silver screen when the emotion clicks. That happened with the film Saiyaara in Bollywood, which came in like an underdog and swept the box office off its feet. In Telugu, we have seen a similar success with the film Baby recently. Now it’s the turn of this Kannada movie that clicked big time.

Premada Oorali is a latest Kannada movie that deals with the love story of a farmer in a village who is likely to get married to a USA-returned girl from the same village. His love triangle with a childhood friend sets the much-needed friction, emotion and drama in the movie, thus creating an engaging 2-hour film. It released on September 25th when none wanted to look at it even, but now posted ₹105 crores gross from the box office in just 25 days of run. At a time when popular and stunning stars are also not getting that collection, this love story crafted by director Manoj Kumar along with Sunaad Gowtham’s amazing songs is working out big time.

With the two heroines, including Thapaswini Poonacha and Ramika Shivu, also putting up fantastic performances, the film has scored big and has become a benchmark movie now. That’s the power of love stories always, and without any dubbed release, these films will always have the potential to make more than 100 crores in the native tinsel town itself.
