There are times when Premiere Shows worked in favour of movies, and then movies got amazing talk from the shows, which resulted in amazing bookings. From the likes of Balagam to the likes of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Premiere Shows have always resulted in the best. But then, now some films have released through Premieres and got huge backlash, the film industry is in a shocker again.

Apparently, the idea of a premiere is to rush as many people as possible to the theatres and get positive talk of it. As long as movies get positive talk like Maa Inti Bangaram and even Irumudi, things will be good. But if they get negative talk like Toxic and The Paradise, surely that affects the box office big time. Now, in the case of small movies like Don’t Trouble the Trouble, if it gets negative talk from Premiere Shows, surely the next day’s bookings get miserably affected. For big films, there will be at least 2 days of bookings done, even before Premiere Shows get sold out, so the talk will take time to affect the film’s prospects. However, for films like Don’t Trouble The Trouble, premiere show talk is crucial; the whole show collapses.

So what to do now? To show a premiere show or not? Well, the answer lies in the type of content the filmmakers have created. If the film came out really well, then holding premiere shows is a good thing; it’s better to go with regular release shows. But first, one has to focus on making good movies more than worrying about premiere shows, as a good movie always works whether with premieres or not.
