Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Mother Makes Shocking Allegations Against Industry

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who’s playing the antagonist in Superstar Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Varanasi under SS Rajamouli, seems to be dealing with a different headache right now. Along with that, he’s juggling I, Nobody, Khalifa, Santhosh Trophy, and even a Hindi film Daayra. But none of these are the issue. The whole buzz is around his new release Vilayath Buddha, and his mother, Mallika, feels the film is being targeted for reasons that don’t feel normal.

Vilayath Buddha hit theatres on 21 November and the run has been rough. The film has made around Rs 4.33 crore till now, which is way too low when you remember how Empuraan blasted past Rs 300 crore. Because of that gap, Mallika believes something else is at play here. She’s convinced a few people are trying to damage Prithviraj’s momentum and push the film into a bad light on purpose.

Talking to a Malayalam media, she opened up without filtering anything. She said this isn’t the first time he’s been attacked and back then too, hardly anyone stood up for him. Even now, she says he’s getting slammed online for reasons that don’t add up, and watching that repeat itself obviously bothers her.

Mallika feels some people just can’t handle how far Prithviraj has climbed, so they’re looking for ways to pull him down. She sounded upset but also a bit determined, saying she didn’t expect things to fall to such a low point. And if this keeps going, she’s ready to call it out again whenever she gets the chance.
