Recently, everyone in Tollywood started discussing why Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is not promoting his latest movie “I, Nobody” in Telugu, even as he amassed huge craze here after Salaar and after featuring as a main villain in SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. But now, the discussion has moved to something else, as many are wondering what happened to his movie, actually.

Prithviraj Sukumar’s I, Nobody hit cinemas last Friday, and he hasn’t promoted it in Telugu, though. But the point is that the film was released in Malayalam and made only ₹12 crore gross in the first weekend. That’s a shocker. In recent times, Malayalam films are exploding, but it looks like “I, Nobody” hasn’t got such attention, though reviews are okayish about the movie.

Many feel that Prithviraj has promoted the movie in Bollywood and other places, but not deeply in the Malayalam state of Kerala. However, for the kind of craze he has, surely the film should get terrific openings, especially after he delivered movies like Lucifer, Lucifer 2 and The Goat Life. Though he’s not the director of this film, surely he can grasp what the audience wants and make such films.

Well, sometimes no matter how good one makes a film, somehow the box office response isn’t positive, and it looks like “I, Nobody” is one such classic case.
